Stefano stands behind a legendary Alio Die project. He also owns a label Hic Sunt Leones, so as you can imagine, he’s a busy man. Let’s check how was his 2015.
Tell us your way for a succesful or happy life. Do you think that man is able to live free from religion? What do you think is the meaning of our existence?
”Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.” (Rumi)
One of the first approach to be happy is not taking it too seriously, our world is a theater of imperfection, so it is better not to forget it in the way to never identify ourselves too much with the illusion given by the reality side of the material world, that is mostly a consequence than a cause. The problem started when man started to separate from nature and totally forget it.
Religion answers as well to a human need when one try to open consciousness and teach how to pray and meditate, but as the churches are still the creations of human, religions also possess the contradictions that are sometimes unbelievable to the soul. For example the power and and possibility to manipulate masses, giving particular opinion on “sacred texts” or dogma. Man is able to live free from religion when he can recognize that the sacred is inside himself, not in any religious form, and practice as an instrument, not a goal.
I think the meaning of life is to realize the opportunity to live and love life in his fullness, that is harmonic balance between creativity and acceptation of the human limits, Meaning of existence is about the experience and looking over these limits inside us to develop any possible realization towards personal attitudes. For me it is also about finding a kind of approach in “presence”, to enjoy and respect every moment.
How would you sum up your musical activity in 2015?
I’m into a new start again, enjoying to be here. In 2015 I have developed different projects and some collaborations. Holographic Codex(Projekt), with Lorenzo Montanà, will have a continuation in 2016, we are at a good point. And in the last months I’ve recorded a different new solo music that will be released the beginning of the new year, together with a new album by Aglaia, on Hic Sunt Leones label. I’ve started Bandcamp page in 2015. It was a good success for the promotion of my music and the possibility to connect with really ‘motivated’ people.
How are you going to spend the upcoming holiday season?
I’ve finally started new recording sessions during these days, and I’ll be very happy to continue preparing new artwork and mixing new music.
Is there any film / book / theatrical play / exhibition / computer game which made a particular impression on you in 2015?
Pierre Lévy’s “Le Feu libérateur”, Arléa, Paris 1999, in Italian “Il fuoco liberatore”, a very subtle and very fine book, a human compendium about meditation and exploring psychology of the soul, or better to say a path how to find the right attitude how to be connected with a real and full life.
Did this year change you in any way, changed your perception of the world, perhaps opened your eyes on something?
I never give any significance to the time if I can be really connected with the present moment. In each moment a lot of changes happen in the perception and consciousness… we are all connected with the universe, in a unique way.
Any moment of 2015 you’ll remember on your death bed?
“How I could just explain my very last moment of my life?” it could be a perfect title for the first track of my next album “Imaginal Symmetry”. Thank you!
Your predictions for the world (in the political and cultural context) for 2016?
Apocalypctic vision from Kali Yuga: The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters… we are at a good point into it.
Your personal plans, hopes, expectations for 2016?
Awakening, love, gardening, enjoy and music!!
