ENG: The year 2012 was the year of pain, the year of many operations, a ton of medication and a constant up & down: Hope and resignation chasing one another. One factor that kept me going through all of it was the music, the material which got released after long waiting periods and the growing recognition it received.
PL: Rok 2012 był rokiem pełnym bólu, wielu operacji, ton medykamentów i ciągłej huśtawki nastrojów: Nadzieja i zwątpienie ścigające się wzajemnie. Czynnikiem, który wciąż pomagał przechodzić przez to wszystko była muzyka, materiał, który został wydany po długim okresie oczekiwania oraz odzew ludzi na nią.

One factor that kept me going through all of it was the music, the material which got released after long waiting periods and the growing recognition it received.
Not being able to continue the live-performances with ALLERSEELEN was a blow, which made the last gig at the end of 2011 (in Belgium, together with Blood Axis) even more memorable. But the combination which made the last studio album “Rauhe Schale” a success for ALLERSEELEN continues under a different flag: 2012 was the year people took notice of MIEL NOIR, the side-project which had grown into an actual band. The album “Honey & Ash” combines 4 of the participants of “Rauhe Schale”: Dimo & Marcel (= the band), featuring Gerhard on 3 songs and the lovely Lisa (known from her vocals on “Rauhnachtkamerad”) on another one.
With about 1 full year’s worth of delay “The Kingdom come” by SAGITTARIUS was released in 2012. Many painful moments (either in hospitals or afterwards at home) were sweetened by listening to the final product; the album we put so much work into. If you are loaded up with painkillers and still think you may be dying, thoughts like “at least now people all over the world get to hear me play cello/string-bass/guitar/percussions/bass-guitar/drums… and all on one CD” do make you smile, honestly.
It took even longer to release the accompanying MCD “Fragmente III. Fassungen”, which has the only collaboration of Dimo Dimov (SVARROGH), Cornelius Waldner (SAGITTARIUS) and yours truly on it [aside from our joint-project FAHL]: A cover of Darkthrone’s “Transilvanian Hunger”, credited to Sagittarius feat. Svarrogh.
Looking back at it, there are many reasons for blocking out the entire year of 2012, but I wouldn’t do it, mainly because of the reasons above and the feedback I’ve received all through the year. Thanks for helping to keep my spirit up! Now it’s 2013 and I am, for all intents and purposes, back from the dead…

Niemożność kontynuowania grania koncertów z Allerseelen na pewno była wstrząsem; dzięki temu ostatni koncert pod koniec 2011 roku (w Belgii z Blood Axis) okazał się jeszcze bardziej niezapomnianym przeżyciem. Lecz ta kombinacja, dzięki której ostatni album Allerseelen, “Rauhe Schale” stał się sukcesem kontynuowana była pod inną banderą: w 2012 roku ludzie zaczęli rozpoznawać Miel Noir, side-project, który z czasem przekształcił się w regularny zespół. W powstawaniu płyty “Honey & Ash” brało udział czworo ludzi zaangażowanych w powstanie “Rauhe Schale”: Dimo & Marcel (=zespół), Gerhard w trzech utworach oraz wspaniała Lisa w jeszcze jednym.
Z około rocznym opóźnieniem światło dzienne w 2012 roku ujrzał “Thy Kingdom Come” Sagittariusa. Wiele bolesnych chwil (czy to w szpitalu, czy w domu) osładzało słuchanie finalnej wersji albumu, w który włożyliśmy tyle wysiłku. Kiedy jesteś nafaszerowany prochami przeciwbólowymi a i tak wydaje ci się, że zaraz umrzesz, myśli w stylu: “w końcu ludzie z całego świata usłyszą jak grasz na wiolonczeli/basie/gitarze/perkusji… i to wszystko na jednym CD” naprawdę mogą wzbudzić uśmiech na twojej twarzy.
Jeszcze więcej czasu zajęło nam wydanie dodatkowego MCD “Fragmente III. Fassungen”, będącego efektem współpracy Dimo Dimova (Svarrogh), Corneliusa Waldnera (Sagittarius) i niżej podpisanego. Znalazł się tu cover “Transilvanian Hunger” Darkthrone, który nagraliśmy jako Sagittarius feat. Svarrogh.
Patrząc z perspektywy czasu dostrzegam dlaczego mógłbym wymazać 2012 z pamięci, ale nie zrobię tego z powodów, o których napomknąłem powyżej, także ze względu na odzew od ludzi z całego świata, który dostawałem przez cały rok. Dzięki za podnoszenie mnie na duchu! Teraz mamy 2013, pod każdym względem wróciłem zza grobu…
